Kanabiki Waterfall
A beautiful waterfall with a strong water flow throughout the year
One of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan, "Kanabiki no Taki" is about 40 meters high and 20 meters wide. It a beautiful year-round because of the high amount of water feeding it. Because of how wide it is, there are multiple falls, the left and right side having separate nicknames of "Menotaki" and "Otaki." The Kanabiki falls are a popular location in the summer for people looking to beat the heat, play in the water, and experience nature with ample shade.
* The road leading to the waterfall is quite narrow and difficult for oncoming traffic. It is easier to visit the waterfall with a bicycle, which can be rented at "Roadside Station Miyanomiya Miyazu" (3007 Hamacho, Miyazu City).
