A beach that is known only to locals, hidden in a cove along the backside of the Tango Peninsula. The beach is right next to Urashima Shrine, where the oldest "Urashimatarou" legend in Japan was born. The beach mentioned in the legend is said to be this Honjohama beach. The beach itself is also incredibly clear. This spot is quite remote and difficult to access without a car (but it can be done by public bus)
