Tango Onsen Hashiudo-so
The hot-spring source is directly drawn from the earth, as this area was once an active volcanic spot. From the facility, visitors can see, "Tateiwa," a large volcanic rock formation rising out of the Sea of Japan. The beaches right in front of the onsen are a great place to walk, swim, or take pictures. And the onsen is so close to the sea itself that you can hear the sound of the waves from the baths. It is a popular location year-round. The summers are popular with beach goers, campers, and food enthusiasts. The winters draw visitors wanting to see snowy scenery on the Japanese Sea, as well as foodies looking to try the local delicacy and highly sought after, Taiza Crab. The onsen also provides reasonably priced accommodations and local cuisine.
